Jibacoa is a small fishermen village located at equal distance (one hour drive) between the city of Varadero and Havana. This destination is accessible by international flights from the airports of Havana (Jose Marti) and Varadero (Juan Gualberto Gómez). The most important city close to Jibacoa is Santa Cruz del Norte. The electricity delivered in the region comes from the power station located in Santa Cruz.

We discovered Jibacoa in June 2005 and since that time we returned many times for a relaxing stay, but mostly for admiration of the marine world. This is our annual summer pilgrimage. Jibacoa is the best place in Cuba for divers and snorkelers. Indeed there is an impressive coral reef located few meters from the beach. It is possible to go to snorkeling without having to take a boat or pay for an excursion.
